Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?Ĭhrist's last message in the book to his decipels when asked what were they to do now: "Feed my lambs, tend my sheep, follow me". Have you listened to any of Firdous Bamji’s other performances before? How does this one compare? While many of the circumstances affecting the main character seem a bit far-fetched, they also remind you that wonderful things happen to lousy people and vice-versa and while a rags to riches story may invoke an eye-roll in some it also gives hope and reason to endure for others. The fact that this fictional character and story is loosely structured around and involves the adult life of Christ gives it the feel of a non-fictional story. Whether you are a devout Christian or an agnostic matters not. Interesting characters, great story-line, adventure, a hero and a bit of romance all situated around a story as old as paper itself. For someone who likes a period piece, this book has all the ingredients to a great novel. Great book for one who's never read it or seen it.
